Amitabh Bachchan put his best foot forward even in the terrible Thugs Of Hindostan, so do you really want me to write a cliche that he is in top form in a film which makes you sit at the edge of your seat (you know Badla is a suspense film)? Wouldn't it be repititive if I tell you that Taapsee Pannu is oh-so-natural and gifted?

But yes, it's time to write something different for Sujoy Ghosh, who seemingly hadn't hit all the right notes in Kahaani 2 and Te3N. Sujoy's handling of the film is joy. Thank god the music label (Zee) did not interfere and compel him to push songs (down the drain), like is the case, more often than not.

Watch Taapsee Pannu's umpteen facial tweaks exactly as the situation demands with reference to what she's telling Bachchan. Watch Bachchan's belief and disbelief both when he reacts to the various chapters in her story. Action and reaction between the lawyer Bachchan and his client Taapsee is the spine of this Hindi adaptation of The Invisible Guest.

How can I forget Amrita Singh, a favourite of many in her hey days? Mine too. Sara and Ibrahim can look after themselves now, she should start obliging her fans who want her to go all out once again.

Newbie Tony Luke is also in the pink (my second favourite colour), so is Manav Kaul.

Green is my most favourite colour and I wave green just in case you in two minds whether to go for Badla or not.

I am going with THREE-and-HALF.
